The UNESCO Chair in Florence
It has been established at the University of Florence on 17 May 2006. Prof. Paolo Orefice was appointed as Chairolder by the UNESCO. The Chair is part of the Faculty of Educational Sciences and works through the International Center for research and Higher Education (ICRHE) active in the Department of Educational Sciences and Cultural and Training Processes.The objectives
The work plan for the Chair (2009-2011) has as its objectives the Research, Education and Networking at the international level:
- To deepen the focus of the transdisciplinary research, theoretical, methodological and strategic human development and culture of peace;
- To develop, transfer and disseminate models and practices of change in the quality of life and context through education and professional training;
- To strengthen the network of projects and targets for research and training with the networks and UNESCO Chairs / UNITWIN, but also with other Universities and organizations in Italy and throughout the world in the field of eco - development.
